After having many sj's that were only any good for the scrap yard I decided to get a road leagal one that needed very little work or the dreaded welding. I looked in the auto trader the next day and found one of the last fuel injected sammy sports made for this country only a couple of miles away from home so thought it was worth a look. Took it on the road and it was mint apart from a vibration on the transmision which I saw was a rear prop misaligned. Made him an insulting offer on price and got it for £900. The car is a great start as it is preventative rust proofing needed and not welding.

I have since then spent about £2000 on it and it still isnt finished. I always do subtle mods as it is still used on the road daily.

The list of mods that have been done are

3 inch lift smj springs alround with custom rears up front.
D flex up front with extended procomp es 3000 shocks all round
Rock lobster transfer case fitted to the car (made by myself and gears machined by Nigel Head)
Rear axle lockrite fitted
23575r15 macho tyres fitted to vitara alloys
Rear come up dv9000i winch with plasma rope to be fitted in the next week or so.
Full axle and box breathers

Full external cage
Onboard air
Stainless snorkle

All in it is one of the most capable cars that I have had off road and through trial and error of the past ones we have built this one is becoming a giant killer offroad.
